CHILDREN'S DAY SPEECH IN ENGLISH FOR SCHOOL CHILDREN'S 

HAPPY CHILDREN'S DAY 

Every 14th of November of every year is
celebrated as children's day. The birthday of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru is celebrated as children's day.Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was very affectionate towards children. The children used to call him as"Chacha Nehru". They used to give him a Red Rose.when people came to celebrate his birthday, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru said that his birthday should be celebrated as children's day. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru used to say that "Today's children are the citizens of tomorrow'. He used to say that children should Involve themselves in studies and sports. He used to wish the children a good career ahead. The father of Jawaharlal Nehru was Motilal Nehru and his  mother's name was Swaroopa Rani. One day he was scolded by his father for taking his pen without permission. This lesson Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru never forgot in his life. After graduating in law in the country of England, he took the profession of a Advocate in India. He also took part activity in the freedom struggle of India. His house had become work place for the congress activists. He admired M.K. Gandhi as his Guru. He used to call M.K.Gandhi as "Bapu". Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was the prime minister of India. He devoted 17 years of his life to Indian politics. The five year plans,Educational plans and other reform policies were same of his works. He also wrote the book called"Discovery of India".

November, children's day is celebrated all throughout the country. Children are given sweets on this day,cultural activities by children are also a characteristic feature of this day. Thus the children enjoy a lot on day, the children's day.
